18 Jan Filmmaking leg 4: crossing Honduras to Ometepe, Nicaragua (video)

Watch us cross borders: El Salvador to Honduras and Honduras into Nicaragua. A lot of paperwork, copying and waiting. And just when you think all is good, the van breaks down close to the capital of Nicaragua, Managua. We manage to find a mechanic and Steven does his ‘hustle, hustle, hustle‘ magic: calling the mechanic and organizing a tow-car. We wait for a few days in Managua while the red bus get fixed by a German mechanic. We camp inside the mechanics’ garage.

Meanwhile we get to explore a bit of Managua and the mechanic manages to find a fitting pressure plate for the red bus. Eventually we manage to make the crossing by ferry towards the island of Ometepe in Nicaragua.
